Building Surveying

Our building surveying discipline covers a wide range of built environment advice and consultation across all aspects of existing properties, including dilapidations, maintenance and repair, refurbishment, restoration and sustainability issues. We offer these services either as part of a wider multi-disciplinary commission or as a stand alone service to suit specific client requirements.

  • Measured & Photographic surveys: allowing us to produce accurately scaled plans and elevations to give clients a quantifiable set of asset information to inform maintenance and development.
  • Condition & Defect Reports: identifying and analysing defects which allow us to make considered proposals for maintenance and repair, inclusive of budget cost advice.
  • Party Wall Surveying: advising both Building Owners and Adjoining Owners/Occupiers, to help prevent and/or resolve disputes in relation to party walls, boundary walls or excavations near neighbouring buildings.
  • Equality Act 2010: visual surveys and reports focusing on a building’s performance in relation to full accessibility to services for people with disabilities (formerly the Disability Discrimination Act 1995, DDA).
  • Heritage Consultancy: development advice regarding the preservation of historic buildings, whether English Heritage Listed or those within Conservation Areas.
  • Fire Risk Assessments: advice on implementing fire management plans to comply with The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005.
